Samples of Low E Coatings

PPG IndustriesSolarban®

60 Solarban® 60 solar control, low-e glass was engineered to control solar heat gain, which is essential to minimizing cooling costs. In a standard one-inch insulating glass unit (IGU), Solarban 60 glass offers an exterior appearance similar to clear, uncoated glass.
Solarban® 70XLPPG Solarban® 70XL glass is a solar control, Magnetic Sputter Vacuum Deposition (MSVD) coated low-e glass that brilliantly combines the clear appearance of transparent, color-neutral glass with an unprecedented combination of solar control and visible light transmittance. The product allows architects to incorporate vast areas of vision glass into a building’s design without a requisite expansion of its cooling capabilities.
Sungate® 500Sungate® 500 coated glass yields the color neutrality of clear uncoated glass, together with dramatically improved performance. When compared with regular clear glass in a one-inch insulating glass unit, Sungate 500 glass produces impressive U-Value improvements of 27% and 36% (winter and summer respectively) while transmitting as much as 94% of visible light.

Cardinal Glass IndustriesLoĒ²-270® The patented LoĒ²-270 coating provides high performance solar control and visual clarity. The end result of all this engineering is that Cardinal LoĒ²-270 provides the ultimate in comfort because it reduces window heat gain by 50% or more when compared to
ordinary glass. Cardinal LoĒ²-270 is ideal for all weather conditions in most climates. In summer, its patented coating blocks 86% of the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays and 63% of the sun’s heat.LoĒ³-366®The superior insulating capability of Cardinal LoĒ³-366 is a key factor in the construction of comfortable windows for cold climates. LoĒ³-366 adds a third layer of silver coating. Result: a clear coating that blocks even more solar gain, reflects heat, and lets the light stream in. LoĒ³-366 is the one low-E product that can qualify in all 4-climate zones: superior insulating value in the north, and clear solar control for everywhere else in the country

LoĒ-i89® A double-pane IG unit with LoĒ-i89 can meet triple-pane windows energy-saving guidelines. LoĒ-i89 is sputtered onto the indoor lite, the #4 surface, thus reflecting escaping heat back into the room and lowering U-factors. Coupled with Cardinal LoĒ² or LoĒ³ glass and argon fill, this double-pane unit delivers performance much better than clear triple-pane – a center of glass U-factor of just 0.20 compared to 0.37 with clear triple-pane.
Guardian IndustriesSuperNeutral 68 SuperNeutral 68 transmits the most light and has the most neutral appearance of any Sunguard product. It can also be laminated to deliver sound attenuation, security, safety and hurricane protection.
SNX 62/27 SNX 62/27 offers a very low solar heat gain coefficient on clear glass - 0.27, and an exceptional light-to-solar-gain ratio of 2.30. Transmitting and reflecting neutral color, SNX 62/27 provides maximum solar control and excellent energy performance.
SNR 43A true hybrid low-E coating. Despite the low SHGC, it’s neutral in color, presenting a light silver exterior appearance and medium reflectivity that truly brings the glass to life. And for large areas of glass, the vision-to-spandrel match characteristics are excellent. For even greater design flexibility, SNR 43 is available on five float glass substrates: clear, Ultra White, Crystal Gray, Green and Twilight Green.
Neutral 78/65Neutral 78/65 provides more natural light and Solar Heat Gain for heating-dominated climates. It’s designed to utilize the sun as a sustainable energy source. It has a high passive solar heat gain for heating-dominated climates of 0.65. It’s designed to help meet energy codes in cooler climate zones. Ideal for both dual and triple glazed configurations. It’s a single product solution for annealed and heat-treated applications
